I often use Post It to remember some English words when i study english.
then, i often put it around the place where i stop in my house, like kitchen, near table, near desk, and toilet.
Then, what i thought is that, it could be nice if we can have some study text on the toilet paper...
in order to learn or remember just the same idea that i do with post it
it can be a words, or can be a historical thing, or some formula in math,,,,
sometimes it might work....

iPod nano now is really fantastic for me... in terms of mobility.
i haven't used this, but i heard that it is not so hard to use...
and the nice thing for me is we can carry it like a watch! that's something interesting...
then, i just wonder what if we could use it like a phone??
i posted before Cordless extention of mobile phone in which we can use other device as a cordless extension of a mobile phone, but what if the mobile phone itself is small enough so that we can carry with us always... just like a watch! not as big as this one.. lol
now we tend to bring many things with us... but many functions are overlapped. for example, iPhone and iPad.
then, it is no use if all of them has networking function, i mean we don't necessarily connect all the things into network, (when we regard the price? :p )
then, what is the merit to use all of those thing? i can't really figure them all out, but there must be something... my guess is it depends on application, and for example seeing through the website, it would be better if we could have a bigger screen...
then, how about something like following picture?
we can use the same installed application, and network, or phone call through other devices just with docking with other devices. could be nice as well :)
could be nice if we have a place to connect iphone nano in our laptop as well :) ....no? lol
I always dreaming to have digital photo frames such like following
it is not that expensive, but not really easy to buy...
and when i imagine the process of usage (i haven't used that though) sometimes we can insert cards, or we will connect to the computer...
then, i just wondered it would be nice if computer display could have digital photo frame function after turning off the computer...
that is i think very simple, just connect the picture folder to display, or having small storage in display.

the idea is having easy access monitor of mobile phone in their arm...
(of course it is more than that though)
but this idea made me come up with today's idea...
we bring mobile phone everywhere...
but yes, as the author of the blog said, sometimes it is in a deep place in one's bag... then it might be interesting to have a cordless extension of mobile phone.
of course the function is almost the same, and i know you think it is useless...
but what if we could connect ipod and your mobile phone?(though iPhone is something like that :p) or more than that, your headphone/earphone and your mobile? your headphone could become your phone, with bluetooth.
operation and auditory information will be transform via bluetooth. the device that is "calling", i mean using network is your mobile, but the thing that you are using to call/talk is not your phone anymore.
when it will be available? or why did i said something like this??
before answering that, i would like to ask you...
when u use ur phone??
especially for japanese, im sure that many people would say "when i have a time"
the answer would not be "when i want to call." anymore.
so...
the idea is super simple.
make all of the devices being able to call through phone.
can be ipod, can be a watch, or can be something else.
i mean, it would be nice if we could answer the phone with the bracelet or something else which is the closest to u at the moment!
im sure that is not that difficult in terms of technology!
sometimes, when using skype, i really appreciate the function of "sharing the screen"
which is, showing what one is seeing on one's display to the other's display.
as i said in previous post, i actually observed people in macdonald for 5h the day before.
then i found that, people (might be only japanese..) never stop using their mobile....
sometimes they are talking not facing each other, but seeing their own mobile...
sometimes they are showing how great the picture on one's mobile is..( mainly how cool the guy is :p)
then, it might be interesting to have a function in which we can share one's screen to everybody through their mobile.
that is especially useful when one wants to show his picture to his friends. it is always bothersome to pass the phone each time... but if we could share the screen, ( i don't know maybe with bluetooth or something other? bluetooth might not have that protocol to share the image at the sametime... so might be 3g or wifi? hmm....not that sexy...) then, we can talk about the same thing and no need to pass your own mibile!
of course to share something, there must be an idea of projection... but i know some of the company is now developing small projector, so i just avoid to say projector on purpose...

when you review papers or your diary, i guess you sometimes overview whole pages quickly, and pick up one page randomly to read whole content.
but actually, i think it is not random... some part of the page has some attractive points, then that is why you chose that page to read
and i just thought if we could review blogs like the way we do with real diary or book, it would be nicer.
cos the way we search blogs now is not that good. we can not see any part of the pages, we can not see how long the blog is, and so on; most of the information the blog has is not being shown in the searching result
actually, it takes less than 1 second to overview how long the blog is, what kind of figure they use, how large the letters are, and so on.
then i just thought it would be nice if we could search the blogs like mac's folder's one function
then we might be able to add or integrate ordinal search result like

haha, that video is really funny :) using twitter, they tried to get a job.
today's idea is not like that video, but i know some of my friend got internships through twitter, or facebook and other SNSs.
yes, that way of hiring is now being focused.
then i just wondered LinkedIn. i think it is powerful. when i asked a question "what is LinkedIn?" then the answer is always "something like facebook, but for job".
but for me, i can not use LinkedIn... of course i have an account, but i really hesitate to use or post something on LinkedIn...
but imagine, what if we could have "something like twitter, for job"... at least for me. it is easy to use.
I know some companies try to find some people using twitter, but it could be nice if we could have a web service that is like twitter, but for job hunt, or show what kind of people we are, mainly focusing on job side.
and it would be nicer if we could have profile page on the sns :) then it would be easier to understand who the one is.

with that information, you might be able to understand the meaning of the doki-doki sensor...
before explaining today's idea, i want you to watch following video
this measures the flow of the blood.
then, if the technology spreads, it might be a part of mobile, and always measures one's health.
but if we could access to other person's sensor, or at least, if we could get some signal if the one's heart is beating faster, the date would be more exciting for guys...
without the girl's saying good or bad, they can feel, or see whether she got excited or not, through those signals...
I know, i can not keep writing this post, it's really silly... but could be funny if we/something could understand one's emotion :)

but for me, the only merit is access from distant places...
especially when we are in super market, we would like to know what do we already have, and what we are missing...
i couldn't get how this technology get to know data inside fridge, but only thing i wanna know is not expiration date, but "what is inside the fridge?"
so it might be nice if we have fridge scanner, and we can access to that image wherever we are.
that might be cheaper and efficient :)

now many people are saying that search engine of the next generation is utilizing the power of social!!
of course, i agree with it... but is it the only focus??? i will be doubtful...
i mean, if we search for something, the result shown up is always like this
i know there are some add-on for firefox that shows the thumbnail of the website next to the text, but... the way of showing is always like that.
of course there are image search, and so on, but normal result from for example yahoo, msn, and any other searching engine is showing in almost the same way
but do you think it is the best way to show the result??
of course, i know it is much important to find the way to show the result in the order user wants than how to show the result, but i think if we could have really efficient way to show, user will be careless about the result order...
now, the only thing that we can find from searching result is title and short text
but sometimes, at least for me, even though it contains really good information for me, some website is not attractive, or feel not to read...
but it might be interesting if there are some new ways of showing result, what i found today is TED's website is something interesting
the website visited often could be shown larger, or the website people stay longer could be shown larger, or... there must be a lot of ways to show, but for me,
the way TED took was a little bit interesting... showing some videos smaller, showing some bigger.
and searching is always active action (?? the thing you have to choose what to do next) whereas analog life is more passive.
only make something big/small makes the way a little bit passive i feel. so... i wanna have that function in new searching result!
and not by clicking them, but just putting our cursors on gives us some additional information. that might be also good for us :)
also, amazon's recommendation makes something passive for us, and it might be interesting if the searching result also says or shows some related websites or recommendation :)
or... have you ever open the links in different tabs???
it might be interesting if we have some button next to the result as kind of "candidates" and we can see those website later without changing the tabs
just like facebok's image :p just press -> changes to the next website
there must be a lot of ways to show!

I think it will not be "my" idea, but it would be interesting if we could have this function in our mobile phone
in japan, we have tons of
those.. this is a portable charger for mobile.
but if the phone itself has that video's function,
phone is something being shaken always, so it would be nice :p
i don't know how powerful it is, but it will be really great :)
but of course there must be tons of ways to utilize that function, so...

today's idea is similar to the previous post, but extracting digital world's component into real world.
the idea is having "online shop book"
maybe you had experienced reading some articles or books, and had seen some product in it.
then, it would be nice if some companies ship the product just by reading QR code or RFID through our smart phones. and if we registered your payment information and address, we can use it in multiple books or shops (which i posted in the previous post)
what is different between real online shop and the "online shop book?"
that might not really different, and might become a competitor...
but sometimes, at least for me, world in digital bother me.
reading physical books brings sometimes better experience.
and also that's diffidently easier for elderly person if there are physical book than online

before writing about today's idea... i have to excuse about having no update recently...
the last update was.... maybe the beginning of June... but i will continue posting from today!!
i was just being lazy...
actually i could say i was busy because it was my end of the 1 year project, and i had to travel finland, us, paris, and had important presentation in stanford and enpc in paris....
and i have to move out from paris, and going back to japan...
but being busy must not be any excuse, i know...
but anyway, i will start again!!
today's idea is inspired from here
this is actually really nice idea i can say...
QR codes (like following pictures) are i think not that popular in europ or other countries compared with korea or japan, but the concept itself can be achieved without this one, like ic tags, rfids, and so on. (though QR code seems the cheapest...)
the concept is, easy-access from real world to digital world, in my understanding.
and now, there is a little bit similar concept, so-called AR.
AR is i think very good idea and concept, and the thing is as i said, a bit similar to the first video's concept: in terms of bringing users from real world to digital world.
but as you can see, the entrance of the digital world is a bit different. and those can be regarded as interfaces between real world and digital world, and following 2 figures explains where the border of the 2 worlds are.

of course we are living in real world. so it must be easier for us to have interface in our real life than in digital life.
so in my opinion, AR is too early. we have to wait for 3 years or more, waiting for the new concept that the first video brought spread. i mean wait for users to get used to play with physical/real-life interface which brings users into digital world from real world
today's idea is simple, but having something like first video's ones in any shops, ideally on price tags or shelves; shops for clothes, shoes, or furniture, daily things, and so on
the merit will be for example when you are traveling, and find something good, but you dont want to bring it back because of the limit of the luggage or just being lazy because it is heavy. then if the application or something remembers your address, payment info, and so on, you don't need to fill the documents to ship it, you dont need to pay it there, you don't need to cue for the payment, and you dont need to bring it back. (or you don't need to prepare cash of that countries)
that would be.... nicer, i think^^
of course, the difference between online shop and that idea is that customer can actually see and touch the product, and user can trust more^^

Google has multi-account function, which is super useful for some of the users i think...
i also has 2 google accounts, one is used for normal usage, and the other is used as an android application developer.
But i guess, there are some people who has multi-account not only in google, but like twitter, facebook, blogs, and staff so on.
then actually, since the google multi-account is not applied for developer site, i use two browser to switch my account... firefox for normal thing, and safari for just seeing the developer site
but it would be nicer if we can manage two or more account with one browser....
then, what i thought is using tab-group in firefox default function to manage the account...
each tab-group has each account, just like two browser, the we can easily switch the account just with switching the tab-group ^^

When i went to Stanford University, I saw 2 water dispensers placed at the same place.
One is a little bit higher than the others...
I just thought it is designed for adults and for children...
But, it gave me an idea which brings me to post today's blog.
What i thought seeing those water dispensers is, if there were only adults,
it is really easy to guess "no body would use the lower dispenser"...
But actually, after seeing some people using higher dispenser, i used the lower dispenser...
because the higher dispenser seemed to get dirty by previous guy...
Then... I suppose some cleanly people might think the same way all of their life...
For example, the toilet door.
I know some people try not to touch the knob of the door, cos it seems dirty...
Then, what if we could have an additional door nob which is placed really inconvenient place???
then, normal people, who never care about the dirtiness will use normal knob,
and those who care will use inconvenient place... then... it might be good???
of course, there must be a lot of solutions for that; like just "enabling to open the door with our foot"
would be a perfect solution.
But, just designing "inconvenient" way, might bring something interesting, i would be able to post another idea according to this method :)

Though the number of SNSs are increasing enormously nowadays, most of the time, the focus/ purpose is sharing something.
It can be picture, it can be tweet, or it might be a news....
Though, most of the time, users must do something for share with their friend...
(Maybe there must be something that i've not found yet)
But... maybe there must be something that we can share without doing something...
One example is "radio channel", or music
When i and my friends traveled LA, we rented a car. of course at that time we are soooooo excited about new city, car, and unknown places...
then, when the radio broadcast some "good music" for us, we are sometimes screaming or dancing, and express our feeling with our bodies.
Then, i thought it would be interesting if we can share what radio we are listening to, so that we might be able to involve someone into our shouting, or dancing and so on :p
Also, it would be nicer if we can have some function that listen to the music which the car next to us listening to...
so that we can share many things :p
hmmmmm.... cheap idea though >< but realtime sharing would be a very topic which has a lot of potencial... in terms of my ideation :p

In japan, there is a company which provide a water pot, which send an e-mail about the usage of the pot.
This is for distant family, and child can confirm their grandparents or parents are alive through those data.
Of course, we should call each other often, but it is a bit hard to call every day with nothing special.
But yes, for me, i do care about my parents condition...

Then, the idea of pot - e-mailing is great, but it is a bit weird to buy those pot to confirm.
Then, what if all water supply companies, or electricity companies can create a service like that??
Every month, we pay 1 euro or 1 dollar, and we can confirm the aliveness information...
