I always dreaming to have digital photo frames such like following
it is not that expensive, but not really easy to buy...
and when i imagine the process of usage (i haven't used that though) sometimes we can insert cards, or we will connect to the computer...
then, i just wondered it would be nice if computer display could have digital photo frame function after turning off the computer...
that is i think very simple, just connect the picture folder to display, or having small storage in display.

which is easier? finding something on your shelf, or finding something in your local folder on your computer???
it depends on what is "something", and on users...
for some people, i guess it is easier to find something in physical world.
for example, i like making folder with strict rules, it means there are a lot of files that exist in more than 5 folders deeper from home folder... click again and again, and reach to one folder.
but then for me, in physical world, my favorite books/current reading books are always near by me.
then, it might be interesting to have physical folder in our life to access to local folder in our computer. of course it doesn't mean we will have tons of folders, but some of the folders that we use(or used) often.
of course, we can make alias (or short cut) to access easily.
but sometimes it is easier, and for example if touching on them enables to focus on the folder when we are using another application, the operation would be faster.
and for some reasons, the folders that we used to use often (means have a lot of memories) will not be accessed without any reasons later on... however, if we could have something physical, then we might have some opportunities to remember them and seeing through them.
there are of course hard drives or usb memories which is physical, and able to keep data or memories. but in my idea, the contents itself is in one's computer, the physical thing is just for accessing that folder.
... hmmm... can't explain it well, hope u could understand the concept...

doki-doki is a japanese expression that represents the sounds of heart beating
with that information, you might be able to understand the meaning of the doki-doki sensor...
before explaining today's idea, i want you to watch following video
this measures the flow of the blood.
then, if the technology spreads, it might be a part of mobile, and always measures one's health.
but if we could access to other person's sensor, or at least, if we could get some signal if the one's heart is beating faster, the date would be more exciting for guys...
without the girl's saying good or bad, they can feel, or see whether she got excited or not, through those signals...
I know, i can not keep writing this post, it's really silly... but could be funny if we/something could understand one's emotion :)

before writing about today's idea... i have to excuse about having no update recently...
the last update was.... maybe the beginning of June... but i will continue posting from today!!
i was just being lazy...
actually i could say i was busy because it was my end of the 1 year project, and i had to travel finland, us, paris, and had important presentation in stanford and enpc in paris....
and i have to move out from paris, and going back to japan...
but being busy must not be any excuse, i know...
but anyway, i will start again!!
today's idea is inspired from here
this is actually really nice idea i can say...
QR codes (like following pictures) are i think not that popular in europ or other countries compared with korea or japan, but the concept itself can be achieved without this one, like ic tags, rfids, and so on. (though QR code seems the cheapest...)
the concept is, easy-access from real world to digital world, in my understanding.
and now, there is a little bit similar concept, so-called AR.
AR is i think very good idea and concept, and the thing is as i said, a bit similar to the first video's concept: in terms of bringing users from real world to digital world.
but as you can see, the entrance of the digital world is a bit different. and those can be regarded as interfaces between real world and digital world, and following 2 figures explains where the border of the 2 worlds are.

of course we are living in real world. so it must be easier for us to have interface in our real life than in digital life.
so in my opinion, AR is too early. we have to wait for 3 years or more, waiting for the new concept that the first video brought spread. i mean wait for users to get used to play with physical/real-life interface which brings users into digital world from real world
today's idea is simple, but having something like first video's ones in any shops, ideally on price tags or shelves; shops for clothes, shoes, or furniture, daily things, and so on
the merit will be for example when you are traveling, and find something good, but you dont want to bring it back because of the limit of the luggage or just being lazy because it is heavy. then if the application or something remembers your address, payment info, and so on, you don't need to fill the documents to ship it, you dont need to pay it there, you don't need to cue for the payment, and you dont need to bring it back. (or you don't need to prepare cash of that countries)
that would be.... nicer, i think^^
of course, the difference between online shop and that idea is that customer can actually see and touch the product, and user can trust more^^

this post is also an idea of learning English... or.. i dare say, learning foreign language :)
When i start to learn english, the vocabulary list is always English-Japanese, and it works quite well.
and dictionary as well.
But as time past, many teacher recommend us to use english-english dictionary...
at that time, I didn't quite get the reason actually: why do we need to use en-en dictionary???
but yes, the more words become difficult, the less familiar the translation japanese word is...
and it bring us to wrong way of leaning foreign language...
what is wrong way? of course there's nothing wrong, but the way which i think is wrong way...
let's say, when i learn a really difficult english word "A", japanese explanation is like "B". However, even though "B" is written in japanese, the word is not familiar with me. then we just remember "A = B" just like the two sides of a coin, but rarely remember the meaning...
In that sense, english-english dictionary works quite well i can guess, because it is explaining what the word "A" means... We can learn the actual meaning by them.
but it is a bit tiring to use such kind of "only-foreign language dictionary"...
Then, what if we could have a dictionary, which explains the word as english-english dictionary does, but written in their own language...
here is an example,
If we look up the word "dictionary" in an en-en dictionary, it says
a book that lists the words of a language in alphabetical order and gives their meaning, or that gives the equivalent words in a different language.
In en-jp dictionary, 辞書
My idea is just translating the contents of en-en dictionary into japanese, so that we no longer need to remember "A=B", but can remember the meaning, like "A is used when i feel... "
when it is really difficult word, I am sure that it works well :)

There are various of alert system in a car with display like this (referred from here )
But... I don't know, when something dangerous happen to us, i don't think we can see the displays...
that is why many devices are trying to do it with sounds, and others which are non-visual info
but what i thought today is... there might be a display, which was seen when the accident was happened / or about to happen...
that is... mobile phone
Then, what if we could connect our mobile to the sensor technologies in a car, so that phones will alert us emergency??
using mobile while driving (though it might be prohibited)

even though in many countries prohibit us to use mobile in cars, there definitely are a lot of people who are using mobiles in their cars...

I will show you the idea first, and explain the reasons why it is needed.
the Idea is attaching a display on a car roof, and show whatever the person behind want using network...
for example, movie... In order to let them know or to get their attention, when something happen, or when it comes to turning point for them, the display shows some other thing: turn right at next corner, the car was stopped, or the traffic light became red...
I dare say, the car in front, so that we can switch the car in any cases :)

the reasons behind are... people are seeing the car in front while they are driving, i think
and for example, when we are with our friends, the others than drivers can see movies or do anything they want, but rarely drivers...
then, what if drivers just need to see the displays, in order to go to their destinations and sharing exciting moment with riders at the same time???...
Since there are huge amount of data come across this world, many people can access to data, and many people can learn about anything...
But... for me, sometimes it is not that important to learn about something. Not all people should be a expert in my opinion.
I will explain with a simple example.
If i want to go to a Place A, i need to search the metros and how to transit and what road i should take after getting off the station... but... even these things, we don't need to search it now a days...
What if we can see some people who are going to go the same direction as me? i just need to follow him.
It can be more smaller place, like which exit should i take.. in these case, i am sure that there are some people who is going the near place.

It can be a situation when i get off the airplane in unfamiliar airport, if i could find somebody who will take the same train, i can follow those :)
and it might be good as well to know what station each people leave in rush hour in a train, so that we could have a seat :p
Today's idea is a bit ambiguous, but what i thought is in some cases, we should find a people who knows more than me, rather than finding a data in internet.
My country's nuclear problem was typical thing for that. Since i could not trust all the information, i searched and learned how the nuclear plant was build, and what the mechanism is, (of course briefly) and make me calm...
It would be nicer if i can find a right person who give us information
this idea especially works in both ways,
1. when the thing is really complicated
2. when the thing is not worth searching it, but it would be better if we could get the information.
it can be in a restaurant, whose menu is in foreign language.. if i could see the number of people who ordered in a menu, i could chose it easily :)
maybe there were some search engine which enable to search people... with some topic... but i could not find the url, but the idea might be an extension of that

I think... the e-mail of xxx@facebook has been already available now....
I don't know much about the function they provide, but today's idea might be really similar to that idea
Some of the people responds much faster in facebook/twitter than e-mail, when i ask something. so do i actually...
Besides, there are some function in twitter or facebook which sends e-mail to individuals when they got a new (important) information: xxx followed you, or xxx send an message to you, or something.
therefore, what if the facebook or twitter can inform us the existence of the e-mail, and we can read e-mail via facebook or twitter, when the e-mail was linked to friends/followers in facebook/twitter.
if it is official or related to important things, we can reply it via e-mail, and if its not, we can use twitter or facebook to reply! (and it goes both twitter/facebook and e-mail?)
I don't know how it works, but for me, it might be useful to reply :)

Today's idea is... if i draw it, it would be like following pic
I was just wondering whether we would be able to have these kind of things in our table...
it is supposed to be placed in the center of the table.
The problem i focused on is... when several number of people are surrounding a table and eating together, maybe most of you will bring a bottle or carafe on the table. and people have to pass the carafe to get water, bring it up, pouring.... it sometimes annoyed us, i think
so, what if we could have an access free fountain like the picture??? at the center of the device there is a bottle, you can change water there, and wherever you put your glass on the fountain, (if not possible, lets say there are 4 points to get water) you can get the water from upside..... and it has some battery (or connected to the AC adopter), so we can get cold water in any time :)
then we dont need to pass bottles or carafe, and even more, we dont need to carry up the bottles to pour water.
Maybe occasions of drinking water includes while we are studying...
so if it is small enough, we could put it at the working desk, and bring any places we want :)
